Thantos Myssiah Vs. Xavior Croft

*The stage is set. Lights shining bright as the technicians flicker them off and on to make sure each bulb works properly. Others run around making sure everything is set up and ready for the night festival of events. Checking every inch of the stadium as the clock starts dwindling down closer to the hour at hand*

Thantos: Tonight, the fates have set their cards down and destinies will be fought to the brink of death. Each man, and woman fighting to win to move on to their goal. Being able to claim what the blood, sweat, and determination this job is about. To beat the best and be the absolute best.

*In the stands one of those people sat. Looking down, watching, and waiting. Biding his time to get in that ring, and give it everything he had. Nothing was going to stop him from achieving what he would take. He would do whatever it took to make sure he got his well-deserved victory*

Voice: Thantos …Thantos …

*Someone called his name from the ground. It was The Shadow Walker. Ugh, just the opposite of what he wanted to do. But Hades, he needed to make sure the message got to his opponent. Thantos made his way down, and stood across from The Shadow Walker’s mask*

Voice: Sammy, I have a match coming up in just a couple hours. Any thoughts? I mean, I’m going up against the former C4 Champion -Xavior Croft.

*Thantos puts the mic towards Shadow Walker’s mask. Standing there, with a smile across his face. The mask begins to laugh uncountably for a few minutes. It just blankly looks at him, as it speaks*

Voice: You should be scared. Maybe you should even run.

*Thantos freezes, and as the mic starts to shake slightly in his hand. Unable to stop staring at The Shadow Walker*

Voice: Some reigns are over, and defeat is the only option they have left. Croft should know this. Our reign has begun, and will stay that way.

*Thantos’ face turns upward, as the light above him slowly starts to dim out. Leaving his face lightly dim*

Voice: I’ve never thought of him as much a threat. Why should I? He’s only been allowed to be a puppet, on the strings of the board members. He got ok talent, but it’s been bought and sold for the bottom line. No use having someone, that will deflate like a rubber sex doll …as soon as a real fight comes along. So not worried about him.

*Thantos slowly begins to move closer, and each step the lights begin to go out as he speaks*

Thantos: Croft, you remind me again why the Hades do I care anything about this man? I welcome the challenge, of facing you in the ring. I want to show you, what all things in the dark …do go bump in the night. We’ve never faced off, and I’ve earned everything I’ve gotten. I’m not afraid of a fight. Remember, I’ve not come from Hades for I am the Harbinger of Doom. I welcome the darkness, and give into the nightmares. I am outside rules of law, and play in the blood of those beneath me!!

*As if on que, the lights go out all over the arena with only the camera light showing upon Thantos. His black eyes matching his soul, and as the smile leaves his face the words ring*

Thantos: Those that walk in death, shall embrace it as a friend. Never, to know that death is neither friend nor foe. So, darkness will devour those most deserving.

Voice: Croft, I nay fear death …for I am the darkness you were warned about. Some monsters, shouldn’t have their cages rattled. I shall not embrace you, but welcome you’re death at my hands.

*Thantos screams as the scene cuts to an end*

~Part Two~

Female Voice: Screams can be heard for miles. People come, and go from this place all the time. But only one, remains a permanent resident. 

*An evil laugh is heard off camera. The unknown voice continues to speak. When the camera man tries to turn to face her, a hand covers the lens and shoves it back to focus on the building. Very soft and a soft spoken yet the words come out cold and malicious*

Thantos: Are you sure you want to enter? I’ve heard, no one comes back from seeing her …the same way, they went in. It’s as if, you lose all sense of reality from yourself and the world. Only she matters. You will belong to her. Just like …

*The female voice goes quiet. Nothing is heard, but a few shallow breaths beginning taken in and out. Time stops, and this unknown woman is waiting, teasing, taunting us with the knowledge of what she knows*

Female Voice: We all belong to him. Everything is for him. We give ourselves to him, so he can fight. Fight and win. For he is the true victor. He will overcome them all. You see the Shadow Walker …he will live, and claim what belongs to him. No one is safe …No One!!

*Footsteps are heard, as the camera turns to see a shadow fall into the darkness of woods surrounding the building. All that you can make out, is long dirty hair and what appears to be clothes covered in dirt. No face to see, or any other words just spoken. The figure laughs sinisterly, and disappears into the darkness of the trees*

Thantos: Awakening The Shadow Walker …Entering Hades Damnation, you should except the screams of the damned. The moaning, and begging of those vial pathetic souls. The betrayed, cruel, worthless miserable excuses of one flesh. It’s their screams, that rock me to sleep. It’s their pain, which gives me comfort. It’s their death, that will bring me life.

Voice: They said, that the darkness isn’t becoming of a lady. What do they know? It’s not like, the doctors can tell anyone what’s wrong with me. No, no, no …they can’t tell anyone what’s wrong, when they already know. You see, he knows my secret. He knows all, and he tells me all I need to know.

Thantos: I know, what I must do and will gladly do …as I please. Croft doesn’t know, what I’m capable of right now. He will …Oh yes, he will!!

Voice: Footsteps, I hear the footsteps …coming for me. They’re coming to make sure, I’m brought to get what belongs to me. They want their queen back; their Undead Sister must return to claim what will soon become hers. 

*Closer the footsteps come, then stop which brings Thantos out of mind and back to reality. Oh, the joy of having to be back in this forsaken land. It’s no fun, and no one wants to play with him*

Thantos: Open up …Just be careful, you already know that I broke the last man’s fingers …one by one, before they could get me off him. He still has the scars too.

*Keys jingle against the door. Thantos could tell the person opening it up is new, and he can’t wait for them to meet him. He smells fear, as the door swings open and feels their reluctance to come further into my playroom. It only intoxicates his senses, and makes him want to do demented things to his insides. He goes back into myself, and hum a song over and over*

Voice: Blood, blood, blood, pump mud through my veins. Shut your dirty, dirty mouth …I’m not insane.

Thantos: Lilith??

*Thantos speaks her name, and keeps himself from answering He keeps trying, as he slowly makes his way closer towards her. Behind him is another man this one has something in his hands. He keeps humming, as he tilt his head to look closer. Ooo, it must be his jacket. He knows what that means. They’re going to let him go play with someone. As each one goes to the opposite sides of him, he slowly smile and wag his finger at them. Still wagging his finger, his other hand runs up into his matted hair entwining a strain around his finger*

Orderly: Thantos, don’t make us have to put you in this. Please be good, and we’ll tell you a secret.

*A laugh escapes through Thantos’ lips, as he stands up and looks at them slowly turning his head. His tattered pants hung down to cover his feet. The once royal blue is starting to fade, as he peers through his hair. He stares into the eyes of the first man. Then to the other. No, they don’t need to tell him the secret. His friends had already told him, what was coming. He clears his throat, just as he begins to speak*

Thantos: Don’t you think, it was useless trying to come in here …thinking I would be good. I know, all the secrets of. No one can hide things from me. I have little eyes, and ears everywhere.

*Thantos twirls around in a circle quickly, and then stop right in front of their faces*

Thantos: You’ve come to tell me, I get to play. You want to feed The Harbinger another soul. One, that hasn’t been spared …but saved for temptation. That’s why you brought Mr. Fancy Cameraman, right there.

*Looking over his shoulder, he reach out towards the camera*

Thantos: Come here, I have a message for my new toy.

*The camera slowly comes into the room to focus on Thantos*

Thantos: Xavior Croft, Croft …Croft! My friends in my ear, tell me that I get to come play with you. But what you don’t realize is, I don’t just want to play with you. I want to see what your soul looks like from the inside and out. To have you twisting, turning, and numb from the slow intoxication of your blood dripping into your lungs. To feel, them as they fill with your blood and beg for release. Little boys shouldn’t act like Kings, when all they are is filth at the bottom of my boots. You talk and talk, but you’ve never faced me. You see, I am what the Boogie man fears, what The Gods condemns, and what my woman gave life too. I am the Harbinger of Doom. My reign will be beyond your stay here on this useless plain of existence. Pray all you want, but tonight you belong to me!!

*Laughing hysterically, Thantos bends over and falls to his knees. The camera watches, as the men move quickly to try to put the straight jacket on his. When suddenly, the door to the room slams making them, all jump. The camera drops, and something slams into the door. Then Thantos speaks again*

Thantos: To bad all of you, weren’t so nice to me like you should have. Now, it’s time for warm up match. Let’s see what you look like, without all that skin on. Remember when you see Croft, to explain to him that little boys should be seen …and not heard. They might lose a tongue, or better yet …their hide!!

*A few second later, blood is being seen coming down the white walls. Then letters begin to form with the blood drippings*

”Hades has no end. For his reign will not end”

Male Voice: Do You See, What I See??

Xander was in a strange spot right now as far as wrestling goes. The Centre Of Attention was still a relevant team that he was proud of being in. Hell he FOUNDED the group one connection at a time, he was the most experienced member of the team, and yet he was without gold while the women of the same team, Olympia Waybright and Desiree Forte were dominant and prominent AWS Tag Team Champions.

No disrespect to the ladies of his stable but ever since he lost the C4 Division Championship he was feeling lost and wanted to get back into the championship scene. He viewed himself as the team captain of the Centre Of Attention. He felt WEIRD without gold around his waist just by his stature alone

Fortunately he found out he had a match at KORE Assault which excited him…but that excitement gave way to disappointment when he saw that it was a non-title against Thantos Myssiah. Some wrestler he hadn’t even heard of until the moment he saw the card. For a man who was eager to get back into the title hunt this wasn’t what he wanted by any stretch. Which led to him preparing for the match with a hint of disinterest. Just by the fact that Thantos Myssiah wasn’t a champion.

That was until he started thinking about the details of the grind. In his heart he knew he had to work back into the championship scene no matter how much he didn’t like it. And god knows he wasn’t afraid of the grind. That workman attitude is what made him such a damn good wrestler in the first place. In fact he believed he was so damn good AWS management had to throw him in a multi person match just to get the title off of him! Not saying that there was a conspiracy to take him down. Xander didn’t believe in that sort of thing in wrestling. But it did feel cheap with how that was how he lost his title.

Which brought us to KORE Assault. With renewed focus Xander got his head on straight. A win here would let him bounce back into the title picture. He just needed to break Thantos Myssiah. If he couldn’t humble he’d be one step further from where he wanted to be and that was in title contention.

And speaking of Thantos. Despite being a newer wrestler the tattooed Greek had been on some recent cards and built a decent following for himself. He was a rising star in its purest form and fought like it too. He was looking to keep Xander on the losing track to say the very least and while being mysterious and menacing in the process.

And as for this scene it started with Xander walking into a nicely lit interview area in his non wrestling gear. A black leather jacket with some sports themed patches and dark blue jeans. Looking like he was ready to make an impactful statement. Which is exactly what he was going to do while he conducted business in the COA clubhouse.

Lights, camera, ACTION.

Xander Croft: Attention one and all…did you miss me? Did you miss seeing me stretch and break other wrestlers? Did you miss seeing me perform my craft in the ring? Did you miss seeing me let the world know I, Xander Croft, is one of the best wrestlers in the world? Where there’s not a single person in the Asylum Wrestling Society that can beat me? Yeah I’m sure you did, and the rest of the AWS locker room certainly had a breather but that time is DONE. I’m back and I’m going to put the entire bloody world on notice that the master in-ring technician of the Centre Of Attention is back in damn action! And my latest victim is none other than…Thantos Myssiah…I’m wise enough to do research on every opponent I face in that right and honestly you don’t stand a chance against me Thantos.

Xander made no time introducing himself, his goals, and talking about his opponent. He believed that he needed to consider the situation at hand. His first match in a while. But now to make it clear just where his head was at.

Xander Croft: You’re a rising star looking to make a name for yourself with your own unique image and style with a weird alternative swagger that wouldn’t fly in the mainstream. Heh. Wrestlers like you are a dime a dozen here in the Asylum Wrestling Society. I can’t walk six feet from my clubhouse without walking across a wrestler like you. You don’t impress me and you damn sure don’t scare me. But surprisingly you excite me Thantos. You excite me because you get the pleasure of being my stepping stone. My tool to get back into the championship hunt. Whether it’s my C4 Division Championship that I unfairly lost in a multi-person mess of a match, or a brand new title.

Xander made his intentions quite clear and that was to defeat his challenger at Assault Thantos and get one step closer to title contention. And the only thing he had to do is treat his Greek-born opponent like a stepping stone.

Xander Croft: I guess what I’m saying is that it’s been too long since I’ve had a fun scrap. A brawl where I can show the world what I can do against an opponent I know I’m superior to. Thantos get ready to do the job for me mate. You won’t be beating me at Assault and after I beat you I’ll be one step to the championships that I truly deserve and I can leave pissant wrestlers like you in the rearview mirror!. Do I have your attention now?

And with that being said Xander gave his intentful question while the scene faded out with the signature Centre Of Attention red, white, and black eyeball appearing on screen to show the end of the promo.
