June 5, 2024Jun 5 Author [The scene opens in a dimly lit swamp, the camera panning over the murky water and dense foliage before focusing on a solitary figure standing on the edge of the bayou. It's Cage Eames, the Beast of the Bayou. His face is partially obscured by shadows, but his intense eyes pierce through the darkness. He speaks with a low, gravelly voice, filled with menace.] Cage Eames: *You hear that, Jamal Payne? That eerie silence, the croak of the frogs, the whisper of the wind through the cypress trees. That's the sound of your doom approaching. This swamp... it ain't for the faint of heart, and neither am I. This place has swallowed men whole, left their souls wandering in the dark, lost and forgotten. Just like you'll be after Monday Night Ward.* *You think you're tough, Jamal? You think your pain can match the torment this bayou has seen? I've wrestled gators, tangled with the darkest nightmares this swamp could conjure, and survived. I've been cut, bruised, and broken, but I always get back up. I've faced creatures that would make your blood run cold, and I emerged victorious. You? You're just another obstacle, another fool stepping into my domain.* *On AWS Monday Night Ward, I'm gonna drag you into the depths of this swamp. I'm gonna show you the true meaning of pain. When that bell rings, the Beast of the Bayou is gonna be unleashed, and there ain't no escaping it. Your screams will be drowned out by the roar of the bayou, your cries for mercy lost in the wind. This ain't just a wrestling match, Jamal. This is a reckoning.* *I don't just fight to win, Jamal. I fight to devour, to consume, to leave nothing but broken dreams and shattered bones in my wake. Every drop of sweat, every ounce of blood, every single tear you've ever shed means nothing here. In this ring, in my world, only the strongest survive. I am the embodiment of that strength, the living, breathing terror that haunts your nightmares.* *Cage Eames pauses, letting the tension build, his eyes never leaving the camera.* *You see, Jamal, the swamp has a way of revealing the truth. It strips away the facade, leaves you exposed and vulnerable. And when you're standing across from me, you'll see the truth. You'll see that all your bravado, all your boasts, mean nothing in the face of the Beast of the Bayou. I am relentless, I am unforgiving, and I will break you.* *The shadows around Cage seem to deepen, as if the swamp itself is responding to his words.* *Imagine this, Jamal: the suffocating darkness closing in around you, the stench of decay filling your lungs, and the cold, clammy hands of fear gripping your heart. That’s what you'll feel when you step into the ring with me. This is more than a match, it's a descent into madness. And I'm your guide, leading you to the edge of sanity, pushing you over into the abyss.* *Jamal Payne, you think you know pain? You haven't even begun to scratch the surface. You think you can handle the Beast? You’re walking into a fight you can't win. The swamp has eyes, and it’s been watching, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. That moment is Monday Night Ward.* *And when it's all said and done, when your body lies broken in that ring, you'll remember this night as the moment you faced true terror. You'll remember the name Cage Eames, the Beast of the Bayou, as the one who ended your dreams and turned them into a living nightmare. The echoes of your defeat will haunt you, a constant reminder that you dared to challenge the darkness and failed.* *Cage takes a step closer to the camera, his voice dropping to a whisper, dripping with menace.* *Jamal Payne, welcome to the swamp. Welcome to your demise. The bayou will claim you, and the legend of the Beast will grow. Prepare yourself, because there's no turning back now. The Beast is hungry, and you're his next meal.* *Cage Eames glares into the camera, his eyes burning with a fierce intensity, before turning and disappearing into the shadows of the swamp. The scene fades to black, leaving an ominous silence in its wake.*
June 12, 2024Jun 12 Jamal Payne: I was a strange kid growing up. I didn’t believe in monsters and weird stuff you think kids would believe in. Boogeyman, monsters under my bed or in the closet, not sayin’ I had a bad childhood or no imagination anything but I damn sure didn’t scare easy. I had a built-in bullshit detector even when I was a boy and the older I grew the stronger it got. Now here I am a grown-ass man. A proud professional wrestler and I still don’t scare easy. But for some damn reason almost every wrestler I’ve fought here in the Asylum Wrestling Society thinks they can scare me just because they got a creepy setting, talk a bunch of craziness about darkness and terror with some special effects like that’s supposed to scare me. Well it never has and it never will. Apparently Cage Eames never got the damn memo. He’s gonna lose to me like so many of these weird (BEEP) do. Jamal said all of this to start the scene while walking on the same street that is the Pennhurst Asylum at night. The building ominously in the background while Jamal said his words. An AWS cameraman followed him with a rap instrumental playing in the background. He noticed that a lot of wrestlers had the same approach Cage had before their matches but he never fell for it. The parlor tricks and talking like a lame horror movie villain may get the fans to pop but they never got into his head for that reason. Besides they’d have to square off in the ring sooner or later and any smoke and mirrors or cryptic trash talk didn’t mean anything when Jamal hit you in the mouth. Cage was going to find that out the hard way. Jamal Payne: Men like Cage piss me off more than any type of person in this business. Men who got skills, got talent, can GO in the ring but gotta do all of this corny stuff to either hide their talent or make up for the fact that they ain’t got talent! You’re either a liar Cage or a clown. Which one is it? Think about that shit before we get to our match because no matter what you pick best believe Imma expose you in our Asylum Rules Match and that’s for real. To further assert the fact that Jamal wasn’t scared of Cages threats he let the whole viewing world know that he didn’t see Cage as a serious competitor. Was he either a master of the pro wrestling bluff where he just had a good presentation with an intimidating look and promo style and nothing more? Or was he covering up his talent behind his occult appearance and presentation. Either way Jamal was unimpressed and certainly unintimidated by him. Jamal Payne: See I represent real toughness here in the Asylum Wrestling Society. The wrestlers who don’t need the budget of the production team to look badass because THEY ARE. They ain’t gotta fake it. The fans know it, the wrestlers know it, but I don’t think your punk ass knows it Cage but that’s cool. You gon’ learn at Ward when our Asylum Rules match starts. Yeah I know what’s up. An Asylum Rules match which basically means there ain’t no damn rules. Anything goes and I’m ready for it! because you are in for a world of hurt Cage. Jamal was proud of being a straight shooter in AWS. No gimmicks, nothing freaky to try and intimidate people. His physical presence handled that just fine. He was that big, that strong, that experienced as a wrestler and that powerful in the ring. This much was evident before he began to talk about his proper match with Cage Eames which he was genuinely excited for. Jamal Payne: See I don’t need a weapon because look at me. I got some of the biggest arms in all of Asylum Wrestling Society and I’ve been winning matches since you were in elementary school Cage so this ain’t my first time in a hardcore match wit’ weapons galore and I ain’t afraid to bleed and I damn sure ain’t afraid to bust up another man but with you? Nah I might mess around and send your ass to the hospital with how disrespectful you’ve been and the shit you’ve been talkin. You don’t scare me BITCH. This Asylum Rules at Ward is gonna last as long as I let it y’all cuz’ Cage don’t got a prayer of beating me. Jamal pointed to himself for emphasis to properly end the promo.
