June 10, 2024Jun 10 Kaito Ishikawa hadn’t had a match in Ik0n Wrestling Network in ages. In fact, there was no “Ik0n” anymore. It was all Asylum Wrestling Society now. Some new wrestlers joined, some of the existing ones left. Kaito had barely even gotten his feet set in Ik0n before there WAS no Ik0n anymore! So one may wonder what was he doing through all that time gone from the ring? It had been months since his last meaningful match. What was Kaito doing through all of that time? Simple. He was spending some time in Japan for starters. Even though Kaito had a home in America he’d feel wrong if he didn’t catch that international flight back to his home country. Tokyo, Japan. He’d spend time at his old wrestling dojo to keep his skills sharp with his old sensei and be treated like a returning star. Kaito would also meet with his family and friends he left behind in Japan to reconnect with them. Indeed Kaito’s passport got a workout as Ik0n was closed and AWS took control. With quite a few wrestlers having their contracts moved over. Including Kaitos. Luckily Kaito’s lawyer was on point and he went from wrestling for Ik0n to wrestling for AWS. At least that’s what he EXPECTED anyway. No matches. Just collecting a check while he worked out and honed his skills. This didn’t just make Kaito bored, this made him ANGRY. Why was everyone getting TV time and title shots over him? He got his contract picked up by the Asylum. What was he doing wrong? This was going to lead to a VERY interesting promo to say the least for Kaito… ………………………………………………. The scene opened with a white lighting in an area of the AWS Ward arena which Kaito slowly appeared in front of. He was in his street clothes and looked stone faced and focused. As if waiting for the right moment to speak. And when he did he did it all in his native tongue. This following promo is translated from the Japanese language. Kaito Ishikawa: Hello. My name is Kaito Ishikawa. I was one of the brightest stars in Japan’s professional wrestling! I’ve competed in America before. I wrestled for Ik0n Wrestling Entertainment and now I wrestle for Asylum Wrestling Society…but you haven’t seen me haven’t you? I go from a shining young star with potential, promise, people wanting to see more…to not being seen at all. Within that introduction Kaito focused on his words and facial reactions with the tone and expression to match. Starting off with passion and an upbeat tone when talking about his time in fighting in Japan, his independent wrestling background, his time competing in IWE, and now in AWS. But after that his tone darkened. Becoming more hushed and relaxed to match his own mood. And once he talked about people not seeing him anymore the screen went from almost shining white…to pitch black. Kaito Ishikawa: And it makes me…angry. I did nothing wrong. I followed every rule, did everything you must do as a wrestler to succeed. Why am I not even having a chance to show the world, show my fans what I can do?! Let me fight against the best wrestlers in the world in a country, in a company, I want to be in! So when I saw that I had a match against Tokyo Ghost I knew I got what I wanted. A chance to reintroduce myself. When Kaito talked about his anger the lighting behind him went angry red to simulate his mood when he talked about how he wasn’t getting booked and how much it sucked. Conveying frustration at how despite a skilled wrestler who was at one point a hyped-up star was put to the wayside. But then as the screen faded from red to a soft white he talked about Tokyo Ghost and how he was going to use this match to let the fans know about him again. Kaito Ishikawa: Tokyo Ghost I am more than ready to show the whole entire world who I am and remind them why I am so dangerous, so talented, and one of the best wrestlers in Japan and America. I am honored to have my first match in months but you have the unfortunate place of being my opponent. Our fight will be exciting I’m sure, entertaining to our fans, and fun…but make no mistake I WILL win tonight at Ward because this is my opportunity to shine! Because my name is Kaito Ishikawa and I’ll make sure you won’t forget me… With the screen going from a bright, energetic green in the background once he talked about Tokyo Ghost to the bright white at the beginning to show that he he was focusing on himself before the promo reached its endpoint
June 14, 2024Jun 14 Title: "Echoes of the Past: Tokyo Ghost's Whispering Challenge at Monday Night Ward" Under the spectral glow of a waning moon, the night wraps the Asylum in a cloak of foreboding silence. Within this somber atmosphere, Tokyo Ghost stands among the forgotten ruins, his figure a chilling presence amid the desolate corridors that whisper tales of despair. Here, amidst the echoes of lost souls, he addresses the fervor of a warrior reborn from the shadows of inactivity — Kaito Ishikawa. Voice-Over (Tokyo Ghost): From the distant shores of Japan to the haunted halls of Asylum Wrestling Society, you, Kaito Ishikawa, have traversed worlds and battled the silence of obscurity. Your journey, marked by the discipline of the dojo and the bonds of homeland, brings you now to a crossroad, where spirits meet and fates collide. The camera pans slowly, catching the ethereal play of shadows across Tokyo Ghost's cracked mask, each fissure a testament to battles endured and victories forged in the silent screams of this forsaken asylum. Tokyo Ghost: You speak of honor and readiness, of a desire to showcase the prowess that once crowned you a rising star in the wrestling constellation. Yet, your anger betrays a spirit unsettled by the whims of fate, a warrior's heart enraged by the void of forgetfulness. His voice, a grave melody, resonates through the decrepit walls, each word weaving a tapestry of challenge and prophecy. Tokyo Ghost: Kaito Ishikawa, the path you tread upon is littered with the shards of broken expectations. You return from your homeland, fueled by the fires of indignation, seeking to reclaim a glory dimmed by the shadows of neglect. Yet, know this — standing before you is not merely a gatekeeper to your aspirations but the specter of your reckoning. As Tokyo Ghost moves through the darkness, his movements are fluid, almost ghostly, as if he were a wraith traversing the boundary between worlds. The setting around him morphs subtly, the walls of the asylum seeming to pulse with a life of their own, reflecting the intensity of the impending confrontation. Tokyo Ghost: This match, set beneath the spectral gaze of the haunted, is not merely a contest of physical prowess. It is a duel of spirits, a ballet of shadows where only the truly formidable can emerge enlightened. Your readiness, while commendable, will be tested not by the cheers of the crowd nor by the accolades of the past, but by the silent judgment of the ethereal witnesses that surround us. With a pause, Tokyo Ghost reaches a hand toward the crumbling facade of an old tombstone within the asylum's forsaken garden, his touch seeming to stir the whispers of the air itself. Tokyo Ghost: Here, in this garden of the forgotten, where each stone tells a tale of a soul lost to the abyss, your resolve will be tested. You aim to reintroduce yourself to the world, to shine brightly in the firmament of wrestling. Yet, against the Ghost, you shall find not the limelight you seek but a darkness profound and consuming. His voice lowers, a somber note to his chilling declaration. Tokyo Ghost: Prepare yourself, Kaito Ishikawa, for our encounter will be more than a mere match. It will be an odyssey through the shadows, a journey into the heart of what you truly fear. And as we clash under the haunted moon, remember — it is in the darkest moments that true spirits are revealed. The scene shifts, delving deeper into the forsaken halls of the Asylum. The camera captures the haunting murals painted by time on the crumbling walls, images of torment and despair etched by the forgotten souls who once walked these corridors. The air grows colder, the whispers of the past intertwining with the present, creating an atmosphere thick with tension and anticipation. Voice-Over (Tokyo Ghost): Kaito, you speak of honor, of a past filled with triumphs and the glow of adoration. But what is honor in a world that has forgotten your name? What is glory when the echoes of applause have long faded into silence? Tokyo Ghost moves through the labyrinthine halls, each step echoing with a spectral resonance. The camera follows, capturing the flicker of candlelight that dances across his damaged mask, illuminating the cracks that tell stories of battles fought and won, of resilience and undying will. Tokyo Ghost: You seek to reclaim your place, to remind the world of the warrior you once were. But you must understand, Kaito, that the path to redemption is fraught with peril. It is a journey through the darkest corners of the soul, where fears manifest and shadows become tangible. It is here, in the asylum's cold embrace, that you will face the ultimate test. His voice, a whisper that carries the weight of ancient knowledge, reverberates through the abandoned rooms. The camera captures the eerie stillness of the place, the remnants of a forgotten past that seem to come alive under Tokyo Ghost's ethereal presence. Tokyo Ghost: In the ring, you will not face a mere opponent. You will confront your own demons and your deepest insecurities. You will stand against a force that transcends the physical, a specter born of the abyss, a guardian of the forgotten. It is not just your body that will be tested, but your spirit, your will to fight against the encroaching darkness. The scene transitions to the asylum's desolate courtyard, where the moon casts an otherworldly glow on the overgrown weeds and broken statues. Tokyo Ghost stands amidst the decay, his figure blending seamlessly with the shadows, a living embodiment of the spectral world he inhabits. Tokyo Ghost: Kaito Ishikawa, you have spent months in the comfort of your homeland, honing your skills and nurturing your spirit. But the world you return to is not the one you left behind. It is a realm where only the strongest survive, where every breath is a battle against the encroaching void. You will need more than physical prowess to withstand the trials that await you. His gaze shifts to the camera, eyes burning with an intensity that pierces through the darkness. Tokyo Ghost: You have been given a gift, a chance to prove yourself against the Ghost of the Asylum. Do not squander it with arrogance or misplaced confidence. Embrace the fear, and let it guide you, for it is in the embrace of the unknown that true strength is found. Our battle will not be one of mere spectacle but of spiritual transcendence, where the victor is not defined by victory alone but by the journey through the abyss. The wind picks up, rustling the leaves and carrying with it the faint whispers of long-lost souls. Tokyo Ghost raises his arms, the tattered edges of his cloak billowing in the spectral breeze. Tokyo Ghost: Prepare yourself, Kaito Ishikawa, for the night is dark and full of terrors. As you step into the ring, know that you face not just a man but the very embodiment of your deepest fears. Let the spirits be your guide, for in the face of the Ghost, only the truly brave will emerge unscathed. The scene fades to black, the final image a haunting silhouette of Tokyo Ghost standing resolute amidst the ruins, a spectral figure poised to deliver a chilling reckoning. The air is thick with anticipation, the echoes of the past mingling with the present, setting the stage for an epic confrontation under the haunted moon of the Asylum.
