AWS Tag Team Championships
Lifeguard (Lumberjack) Tag Team Match
Center of Attention vs. MK 127

The scene started with a back to basics approach for the women of the Centre Of Attention. Olympia Waybright and Desiree Forte. The Centre Of Attention’s lovely, lethal, ladies.

It’s what they had to do given the situation at hand. For the first time in a long time the Centre Of Attention lacked championship gold of any kind. Singles, tag, their title wall was bare and it was a shame. If only Olympia and Desiree defeated the House Of Paine in that tag title match at Ward they wouldn’t be in this particular mess.

The two ladies have gotten used to being tag team champions. Showing off those titles at every opportunity. Getting the champions bonus added to their paychecks. Not to mention there was a bit of ego knowing that they brought gold to the team while the men didn’t. Xander Croft and Mason Hurst had been relegated to AWS’s house show circuit. Tearing it up on live events while they’ve competed for proper AWS shows. Things were going GREAT until the last Ward episode.

Don’t let the competitive “Spin The Wheel Make The Deal” match fool you. Yeah it was a hell of a fight. Some people even say that they stole the show down there in Georgia. But they LOST. That’s all that mattered. Saying that they put up a good fight in the eyes of the Centre Of Attention was like saying that they tried hard. That’s what was expected of them. The bare minimum. These two ladies didn’t become champions in the first place just by doing the bare minimum.

They didn’t even get started in this business by doing the bare minimum.

Olympia was the daughter of two Canadian athletes who performed at the olympic level. She had sports talent in her genes if she decided to go that route and she did. Not on track and field or in one of the team sports but professional wrestling which set her apart from her family and allowed her to make her own legacy and it was paying off in spades. She put in maximum effort for the sport, made contacts and friends, and loved the grit and grind of pro wrestling. She even put in a good word for Desiree to help her career get off the ground

And speaking of whom Desiree was different. Another Canadian woman, Quebec City born compared to Olympia who was from Toronto got into wrestling because of its larger than life appeal. How wrestlers looked and moved like real life superheroes and movie characters. With her favorite part being the over the top, exceptional fashion choices. But instead of trying to be a costume designer for wrestling she wanted to be involved in it. Plus she used her tailor skills to make the group’s ring gear.

Their motivations were different but their passion was the same. And in this promo which had an old school, back to basics Centre Of Attention feel with it taking place in the COA clubhouse. Red, white, and black everywhere. Both women stood in front of a now empty championship cabinet. Dressed in their latest clothes you can buy from the AWS merch website and looking directly in front of the camera.

Olympia Waybright: We are demanding your attention because we are pissed off right now!

Desiree Fortee: Do you see that case behind us? That case used to hold our tag team championships and they're gone. C'est moche. C'est vide. I hate looking at it and you should hate seeing it!

Olympia Waybright: Personally I don’t care about what these other people think but I do care about the business of the Centre Of Attention. Where we are in the AWS. Because we’re not champions we have to fight and beat teams just to get close to gold again.

Desiree Forte: Even if they’re not good enough to even lace the boots I made for us.

Olympia Waybright: Teams like MK-127 who are barely relevant.

Desiree Fortee: Kenzi Whitmore, Micah Anderson. See Olly this is how I know we’re at the back of the line. We have to face these two idiots who we’ve crushed in the past. And the worst part about it is that it’s in a Lifeguard Rules match which means that other teams that we know we can beat or have beaten will be at ringside.

With ease they flowed from talking about themselves to talking about their opponents and were on their way to talking about the match itself. More specifically how it sucked for them.

Desiree Forte: The only thing good about this is that it all takes place in Oahu, Hawaii! I have my bikini picked out, I can’t wait to go sightseeing. Xander and Mason are going to be soooooooo jealous.

Olympia Waybright: I don’t really care much for Hawaii. Too warm for me. But i’ll be sure to take some sightseeing tours AFTER we beat Kenzi and Micah’s asses in front of that annoying cow Erin Stone so we can get one step closer to putting gold on our waists again.

This earned a visibly agreeing nod from Desiree who was on Olympia’s left side.

Desiree Forte: MK 127 you are going to be our bounceback match. We beat you in front of other teams we know we can beat so we can get one step closer to getting the tag titles again. We kick your asses, get those big event paydays, the whole world can see us, and everyone knows that the Centre Of Attention just had a setback oui?

Olympia Waybright: And if any of you lifeguards lay a finger on us out there we’ll know who to target next because the Centre Of Attention is on the warpath

Desiree Forte: Au Revoir MK 127. See you at Clash At The Beach losers-I mean MK 127!

And then the signature Centre Of Attention eyeball faded onto the screen to start the beginning of the promo.
