March 27Mar 27 Some people were just made to be professional wrestlers in this world for one reason or another. Sometimes it was for the love of the art which made sense since professional wrestlers were among the best athletes and best entertainers of the world. Other people saw wrestling as the old school way as a means to get paid and get fast fame. There were also people who saw it as an outlet for their anger and their aggression. But Mason Hurst viewed it as all three but for varying levels.Oh sure he knew he was a good athlete. Muscular as hell at the 300+ lb mark but was a capable striker but could hit like a human truck and he respected the world of pro wrestling and how it gave him a supreme workout and a unique field of work for him as a large man with a finely-tuned body. He also wasn’t afraid to move quickly and leave his feet unlike most wrestlers his size. And Ik0n Wrestling Entertainment was the best wrestling company for him to be in. But that was the least important drive for Mason as fuel to be a wrestler and put his versatile power set to good use.Mason Hurst also knew that wrestling was a lucrative way to make money. Mason had crafted his body to do something physical with his life. He didn’t spend his childhood years bullying and harassing kids weaker than him for nothing. With no punishing pushback or feel-good underdog stories of kids rising up against him either. Plus it paid more and had an easier path to the money than boxing or mixed martial arts did so in his quest to beat people up and get paid for it. Bullying people in an enclosed space where he can punch, kick, throw, and slam people around like ragdolls was exciting without a doubt to the huge Aussie. That was a good reason in itself. But that wasn’t the strongest reason however…The strongest reason why Mason was into wrestling was that it allowed him to channel his anger just right but in the most productive way. Which one could argue was a combination of both reasons which was none other than an outlet for his anger and aggression. He was about 195cm tall and weighed about 136kg. Making him a physical force to be reckoned with in this crazy world. And since he grew up a strong-arming jerkass who took whatever he didn’t get, it was either professional wrestling or risk going to jail for assault, manslaughter, or some kind of violent unarmed crime because with a body like his Mason didn’t need a gun to maul or kill a man if he wanted to. But the safest, most productive, most lucrative field of work for Mason was professional wrestling and Ik0n Wrestling Entertainment was the best place to do it at. And yeah he had been on the second string shows a lot. Live events while his teammates in the Centre Of Attention got major booking but given now his opponent was Orphius Marius at the imminent KORE Assault show that was changing. His training sessions and workouts were more intensive. The film studies were longer as they all led to the promo at the Centre Of Attention clubhouse with Mason glaring a hole through the camera.Mason Hurst: Attention. I’m going to cripple Orphius Marius KORE Assault. Not just beat him in the ring like I can damn well do but leave that arrogant bloke in such a state KORE management will have to call the ambulance for him. Because he made the mistake of showing the whole world, much less me, how bloody self-assured he is. Like he has me, the most dangerous member of the Centre Of Attention pegged. Yeah we’ll see about that shite…Mason got down to business with his direct trash talk against Orphius Marius. Going to work against his KORE opponent and his statements he made earlier. Orphius let the world now that he thought Mason was just a one dimensional, easy to figure out superheavyweight but now he made the mistake of getting the anger of the Australian man.Mason Hurst: You think you have me pegged don’t you Orphius. Well one of the first lessons I learned in wrestling is that everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth and I saw your little statement that might have the dumbass fans convinced that you'll beat me at Assault but you don't know the pain coming your way because this time it's not about getting close to a title shot or representing th3 Centre Of Attention though damn right I care about those things. No it's about humbling you and making you realize just how unmatched you truly are. Do you want to know why I am the dominator? The bully of IWE? Because I’m taller than you at 6’11, I’m bigger than you at 316 pounds mate. And I learned a long time ago that might makes right. I would scare teachers into giving me good grades with just a glare and any friends I made were made off of my strength. Doubly so with the money I made. That means if I’m pissed off at you then you are in my sights to be hurt.Mason spoke every word with composed fire in his voice. Despite his size and hostility he didn’t need to raise his voice. Which should scare Orphius but Mason wasn’t putting a lot of stock into that. Orphius struck him as the type of guy who didn’t scare easily. Firebreathing mad and roaring loud one hundred percent wasn’t going to cut it to him. Orphius deserved something different from him.Mason Hurst: I hate it when people I don’t know and don’t like try to figure me out. Especially if you underestimate me like you are cunt. I’m just counting down the days until we scrap Ophius. Tick tock, tick tock, until you are face to face with 316 pounds of problem in New Zealand as this big Australian bastard shakes the island when I slam you around! In the name of myself and the Centre Of Attention! That’s something you didn’t think about in your plan Orphius. You think I’m going into this match just for me and my glory. Do you know what building I’m in? I’m representing something even bigger than me. The most feared team in all of IWE with people I respect and they expect me to win.Mason’s tone went from cool and composed to enraged and irate by the sentence. Because he saw “The Silent Tempests” statement. And yeah Orphius was managing to talk fans into the building for their match and put asses in their seats but not only was Mason not moved but in his lengthy analysis he didn’t factor the not-so-secret motivator Mason had to succeed. Team glory. Mason didn’t look like it or talk like it but he was a team player! He wore Centre Of Attention colors, he bonded with the man and ladies of his team. Xander, Desiree, and Olympia, he just didn’t do “rah rah” speeches and cared about team glory above all. Because he knew that every win made himself and the COA stronger at the same damn time as an internal motivator. But an important one. Mason Hurst: And like I said before bruv. Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth but Orphius I’m going to do more than that at KORE Assault. I’m going to beat you around every corner of the ring and leave you just conscious enough to remember the pain I put you through after I win our match. Do I have your attention now?
