Persona / Gimmick Summary: Primed to be a MMA fighter until a natural disaster in Turkey shattered his dreams. A few weeks before his wrestling debut, he discovered something in Atlanta Wrestling Alliance, an indy promotion that he really likes, using acid along with wearing a venom mask which won him over with the crowd to make himself stand out from the other techincal and submission wrestlers.

Entrance Description:

Wasteland by Pentagram, aka Mezarkabul, plays over the sound system as Kemal, wearing the black and red venom mask comes through the curtain, holding up his Turkey flag, wearing Turkey flame flag shorts, wearing MMA gloves and wrestling boots. He gets many boos as he walks to the ring, ignoring the fans.

Announcer: “From Istanbul, Turkey, he is The Turkish Acid, Kemal Yilmaz!”

He jumps up to the ring and gets underneath the ropes before raises his fist in the air, looking at the crowd before he puts himself in a corner. He turns to the opposite end of the corner of looking at his opponent, waiting for the match to begin.

🕯️ BACKSTORY / LORE

Character Biography: As an upcoming MMA star from Istanbul, Kemal's dream was to be a great MMA fighter, and he did judo to accomplish those dreams at a local martial arts judo school; he even had a job as a gym assistant in Antakya, Turkey, where his parents and his older brother and sister moved when Kemal was a nine years old. Things with him were going well until suddenly, on 6th February 2023, a 7.8 earthquake struck the city while he was doing judo training. He ran away from his local martial arts school when he felt a small rumble. Then, as he returned home, he discovered the dead bodies of his parents, older siblings and grandparents. He even saw the gym being completely ruined in pieces, affecting his MMA fighter career and his home was completely buried in pieces from the earthquakes. He was left roaming the streets, lost to know what to do about his life. Nearly seven months later, he saw Konrad Raab, who he knew was a professional wrestler, cleaning up and rebuilding buildings. Konrad saw Kemal crying because of being lost in the streets, not knowing what to do with his life, and Kemal told Konrad he wanted to be an MMA fighter. However, Konrad made him change his mind and seeing Kemal was from a European country, he was offered to be a professional wrestler which Kemal agreed.

He was then sent to Konrad's wrestling school in Cologne, Germany, to do a few weeks of his wrestling moves and be reformed as a technical wrestler. With Konrad's help with learning to wrestle and getting his visa and passport sorted, he flew with Konrad to Atlanta, Georgia, where he did a few wrestling matches with and without his tag partners he has in another wrestling company. Like his fellow tag partner who's also wrestling in another wrestling company, Kemal Yilmaz aims to do the same with Asylum Wrestling Society as the company always wanted Konrad back, but due to his NASCAR Cup Series career schedule and due to wrestling in another company now, he gave his spot up to Kemal Yilmaz instead who would benefit the chance more.
