A return to title glory?

Desiree Forte and Olympia Waybright were one of the defining teams of the Asylum Wrestling Society as they represented both the best wrestling company in the world and the Centre Of Attention with pride and while they had no problems chasing singles title success; in fact, both girls tried it on the more  recent shows to…less than fruitful results. But they did their best work as a tag team and history showed it. They were tag team champions in the company’s history and no matter how many restructures and renovations that the AWS did nothing would change that!

However there was something that was on their minds in the process of this...the Asylum Wrestling Society had one thing in common with other wrestling promotions in one thing, if not anything else. And that was the belief of what have you done lately? Whether it’s you being as good as your match or your last title defense. Desiree, Olympia, the entire Centre Of Attention, hell every Lunatic knew this to be true and that was the reality that the entire Centre Of Attention stable was dealing with. Title losses, losing in big moments, it felt like the Lunatics were passing them all by…

Which is why Desiree and Olympia in their hearts, minds, and souls, knew that they have been lacking in the “recent wins” department. The entire Centre Of Attention had seen more glorious days but they in particular have had a championship drought. In a company where things moved fast it felt like Desiree and Olympia were being left behind. Luckily they earned the right to be in a Triple Jeopardy match for the AWS Goddess Tag Team titles. 

They just had to do battle against Tequila Rose; Sarah Lee Jackson & Avery McCullen who were walking into Champions Carnival with the Goddess Tag Team titles. Along with Hard Mode; Riley Rune & Mia Nygma who were riding a wave of momentum. Tequila Rose was an old enemy of theirs, Hard Mode wasn’t but if they were good enough to compete for the Goddess Tag Team Titles they had to be genuine threats. This was going to make their promo and match interesting as hell.

This was also for Champions Carnival. One of the biggest shows of the AWS calendar. The Champions Rumble took place here, everyone was going to show off and bring their best as the calendar year reached its midpoint. Keep the momentum going.

The scene was set in the Centre Of Attention clubhouse with the camera making sure to get every angle of the entire main floor. Kitchen, bar, living room, but a longer lingering shot on the Centre Of Attention title cabinet. Where the championship titles they would have would be displayed…and it was bare. And it had been bare for a while. Xander, Mason, Desiree, and Olympia have failed in bringing gold into the group lately and they needed to change that. Other stables, hell other groups like Tequila Rose and Hard Mode were passing them by. And it deserved attention within the hearts and minds of Desiree Forte and Olympia Waybright.

Desiree Forte: C'est tellement triste. It’s so sad isn’t it? Our empty championship cabinet and it’s been given our attention since the very moment that our Championship Carnival match was announced because we plan on changing that. Right now it is currently bare, vacant, sans championships to show off before we go to battle but it’s alright. We will be fixing that at Triple Jeopardy when we defeat Hard Mode and Tequila Rose in our Triple Jeopardy match with haste.

Olympia Waybright nodded in agreement with her taller bestie and teammate.

Olympia Waybright: Going straight to the point I like that. It makes sense too because quite frankly I'm pissed off right now at the state of the Centre Of Attention. We have had a title drought here and I'm tired of it. Meeting up with the men of the team and looking at that empty-ass vacant title cabinet. Nothing in it. No titles despite all of the work and effort that we put in and nothing to show for it. Now I'm not blaming my opponents I've had and neither is Desiree. We have to be better, do better, than everyone here in the Asylum Wrestling Society and that’s our mission and it starts at Championship Carnival.

Desiree nodded in understanding while moving closer to Olympia in front of the vacant title cabinet for emphasis.

Desiree Forte: Make no mistake we are not naive as to overlook our opponents at Champions Carnival. Avery, Sarah, we have a little history with you when Olympia and I were coming up in the Asylum, Building our reputations Hell a couple of your tag partners left the Asylum Avery but you’re still here and done quite well for yourself. Tag team champions and all…which is why after we take the titles off of you we know you’ll still stay together, have a strong bond like the amis that you are. There’s no doubt that you two will be friends with plenty of adventures…

Olympia Waybright: But you just won’t be the AWS Goddess Tag Team Champions. At least you’ll have each other.

Avery McCullen did have some tag team partners before linking up with Sarah and finding championship success with her. But that would come to an end in Champions Carnival if Olympia and Desiree had their say. But that was only one set of opponents they had to deal with…

Olympia Waybright: And then there’s you Hard Mode. Riley, Mia, welcome to the big time. You're facing former champions, current champions, and you’re riding this giant wave of momentum with a lot of wins into the biggest match of your young careers. If you beat me and Desiree, the classic standard and current standard of the women’s tag team division Avery and Sarah, Hard Mode will be undeniably the hottest women’s tag team today…

Desiree Forte: However…you two need to lock in because this is not one of your silly little video games. Oui, Tequila Rose are dangerous opponents worthy of being taken seriously as they love a good adventure, a good fight, and they have beaten some impressive teams.

Olympia Waybright: And as for us? Our resume reads like a “best of AWS” match compilation. We’ve held tag gold before and were one of the best teams that this company, that this BUSINESS has ever seen! This isn’t a game where if you screw up you can go to the last save point or something. This is real and you can’t handle it. Especially not a match on this scale!

Now Hard Mode was getting trash talked by the women of the Centre Of Attention. Letting them know that the match that they were getting ready for was too big. A Triple Jeopardy match at a major show. This type of pressure could crumble an inexperienced team and Olympia and Desiree believed that Hard Mode couldn’t elevate themselves to this moment.

Desiree Forte: So at Champions Carnival you will have the pleasure of seeing the Centre Of Attention rise again to championship glory.Au revoir~
