Defiant KD
The camera flickers to life. KD Feigel sits on a battered equipment crate in a dim locker room, his left shoulder heavily taped beneath a black hoodie. He slowly rolls it, wincing just enough to show the pain is real before looking directly into the lens. A crooked grin spreads across his face.
"So... everybody wants to talk about my shoulder."
He chuckles dryly and taps the tape covering the injury.
"Separated shoulder. Courtesy of 'ONE.' Congratulations. You managed to do what a whole lot of people have tried to do—you put me on the shelf... for about five minutes."
KD stands, favoring the injured arm but refusing to hide it.
"Yeah, it hurts. Every time I lift this arm, I feel it. Every time I throw a punch, I feel it. Every time I wake up in the morning, I feel it."
He shrugs with his good shoulder.
"But pain's never stopped me before. It sure as hell isn't gonna stop me now."
"You think because I'm banged up that I'm gonna sit at home while opportunity passes me by? You think I'm gonna watch the AWS Champions Carnival Battle Rumble from the sidelines?"
He laughs louder this time, shaking his head.
"Not a chance."
"I am walking into that Battle Rumble with one good shoulder, one bad shoulder, and one goal."
He points straight into the camera.
"Winning."
"I don't care if I've gotta outlast twenty men, thirty men, or an entire locker room that thinks I've got no business being there. I don't care if I have to crawl over the top rope instead of running. I don't care how ugly it gets."
"I'll fight through the pain."
"I'll fight through the injuries."
"And if somebody thinks this shoulder is a weakness..."
His smile disappears, replaced by a cold stare.
"...they're gonna find out the hard way that an injured KD Feigel is still more dangerous than most men at one hundred percent."
He takes a step closer to the camera.
"So to everyone in that Battle Rumble... don't make the mistake of thinking I'm entering just to participate."
"I'm entering because I'm ready to do whatever it takes to become the future reigning AWS Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World."
He lets the words hang in the air.
"And when that rumble is over..."
KD clenches his fist.
"...I'm coming for the gold."
"I don't care who's wearing it."
"I don't care who's standing in my way."
"And I sure as hell don't care whether the powers that be approve of it or not."
He smirks.
"They can make excuses."
"They can make roadblocks."
"They can try to keep me out of the conversation."
"But sooner or later, they're going to have to look me in the eye and admit the truth."
KD points to himself.
"I belong at the top."
"And the AWS Undisputed Heavyweight Championship..."
He lowers his hand, his voice calm but unwavering.
"...isn't just a pipe dream anymore."
"It's a promise."
KD gives one final nod before walking out of frame, leaving the camera focused on the empty locker room as the screen fades to black.
