Olympia vs. Karli

Olympia Waybright was a student of the professional wrestling game. She knew enough about the history of the broadcasting of the business to know that wrestling traditionally aired on Saturdays. And Saturday Morning Ignite was the Asylum Wrestling Society’s way of doing it and showcasing women’s wrestling in the process. The Asylum’s hottest, most dangerous women competed on Ignite so no wonder Olympia was on the card . She qualified perfectly just based on that alone.

However, Olympia was still on that quest to show that she could win matches without having one of her Centre Of Attention teammates in her corner backing her up…and it wasn’t easy. The losses were what was on her mind more than the wins in all honesty because it showed how she needed work individually. Olympia needed to elevate her game to meet the moment. Singles gold was her current quest but she knew she had to earn it. This was where Karli Rae came into the mix. And it was lowkey personal because of it.

Olympia faced off with Karli Rae before in tag team competition during her “Daughters Of Texas” days during the rise of the Centre Of Attention but they haven’t squared off in a long time. So this was going to be a violent reunion of sorts. Plus Karli was a former C4 Division champion and Olympia knew that Xander would love defeating someone who also held the title he made a huge deal. But on top of all of that Olympia couldn’t think of a better person because of the aforementioned reasons to get back on the winning path with a victory over.

Fortunately the Centre Of Attention was just right for Olympia to hone her skills. Xander Croft, Desiree Forte, Mason Hurst, and the new blood Matt Goddard who through his connection with Xander would keep the group fresh and give Olympia, who loved to spar with ALL of her teammates, even more outlets to do so. Iron sharpening iron and all. Which meant Karli Rae was in trouble since the Canadian was going to put in maximum effort for her match and her promo if she was serious about victory.

The scene started in the Centre Of Attention clubhouse but not in the living room, or in the private gym, or even at the kitchen/bar. Cameras were focused on the film room! It was about the same size as an average home theater but it was hooked up to the Asylum Wrestling Society video archives so they could study matches. Whether it was their own or their opponents. And Olympia Waybright had been spending a lot of time there watching Karli Rae's bouts to get ready for their Ignite fight and she was more than happy to talk about it at the cost of a little break.

Olympia Waybright: Okay you have my attention. I forgot you would be here but I’m Olympia Waybright and you got me at the tail end of a match study before my fight against my old friend Karli Rae at Ignite. Which is made for women like me in mind and not so much for Karli…

Olympia introduced herself and made her arrogance clear as she paused the match on screen and looked into the camera while she said all of this. Olympia wasn’t just arrogant, she was studious with it.

Olympia Waybright; Karli this is our first time fighting without tag team partners. No Daughters Of Texas, no Centre Of Attention. But I still know you very well. You feed off of the crowd, you’re cute and fiery. Easy to cheer for. But when the going gets tough you have someone to back you up at all times because you can’t handle it on your own. Yeah I have friends too but we don’t work like that. We train, we spar, and in a fight together but none of us carries each other

Olympia now went into detail on why her former Daughter of Texas opponent was going to lose as if it wasn’t obvious with footage being shown on the home theater screen of Karli getting pinned and eating move after move in the middle of the ring followed by highlights of Olympia doing damage and successful hurting opponents and getting wins.

Olympia Waybright: So I can't wait until I face you in the Crow’s Nest to reignite my singles run with a win. Do I have your attention now Karli?

And then the promo ended with the Centre Of Attention logo fading onto the screen to signify the end of the promo. The next time Olympia would be seen on AWS cameras it would be time for the fateful match against Karli Rae. Only on Saturday Morning Ignite!
