On a mission
The show was AWS Black Out in the sold out Crow’s Nest of Las Vegas and it hosted an anticipated trios match between The Abyssal Order and the Centre Of Attention. Xander Croft, Olympia Waybright, and Desiree Forte weren’t in their usual haunt; the Centre Of Attention clubhouse this time. Not for this match with these opponents: Sig Vinter, Yrsa Vinter, and Lilith Nocturne. However, the Centre Of Attention was entering this match with chips on their shoulders just by definition because this shit was personal.
How was it personal? Simple. Because the Centre Of Attention was feeling like they were losing their grip of control on the Asylum Wrestling Society roster. As if their team, when it mattered most as a unit in group action, was losing status and success. It was like like other teams they were passing them by in terms of both wins and notoriety as their losses were piling up.. Sure they added Matt Goddard who kept the group energized but he had his own battles. He couldn’t help here. Not in this match. This wasn’t about a title. It was about status and dominance plain and simple.
And of course Sig and Yrsa Vinter and Lillith Nocturne had similar intentions to win with confidence through it all and on paper, in terms of size and stature The Abyssal Order had the advantage and they’ve gotten a win over the COA before. But the Centre Of Attention had chemistry and pro wrestling prowess and they believed that it was what they needed to secure victory. They just had to vocalize that with a promo of course and the typical way just wouldn't do.
First it was Xander Croft coming into view wearing a black and red Centre Of Attention jacket and a stoic expression on his face. Locked in and ready to speak with a spotlight focused on him and a black background. Simple, to the point, and fitting of the serious tone because every time they had a promo scene that wasn't in the clubhouse it was a big deal.
Xander Croft: Attention. I have been looking forward to this match for a while…A chance to show the entire world that the Centre Of Attention is not an afterthought. That as a team, a combined unit there isn’t nothing we can't do and we still have what it takes to rule this company and any setback we might have will be made up for manifold. Myself, Desiree Forte, and Olympia Waybright are out for blood. So at Black Out we have a mission to accomplish and a genuine reason to win at Black Out and Sig Vinter, Yrsa Vinter, Lilith Nocturne, you three are in for a world of hurt!
The Centre Of Attention may not have had a leader with a set rank and file but Xander loved a good speech to make him and his team look good while hyping up the match. Graphic appeared as well just to add to it all as Olympia walked into the picture wearing a black blouse and blue jeans.
Olympia Waybright: And let's be real. We know we need to bring our best to this match. Friendship, chemistry, hell yeah we got that. We train together, travel together, study film together, and if we have any team action whether it’s singles or tag please believe we’re all on the same page! But against the Abyssal Order…who I’m woman enough to admit that has beaten us before we have to bring all of that and then some in the name of revenge because like Xander said this team isn’t an afterthought. I'm especially looking forward to getting my hands on you Yrsa and making you cry, and whimper in pain, like the little bitch that you are before we win at Black Out.
Olympia was more direct. Talking about an opponent by name before the match just to show her focus and fury. Black Out couldn't come soon enough. Though lastly there was Desiree wearing a sleeveless top and a skirt with a smirk on her face. Standing on Xander’s left while Olympia was on his right
Desiree Forte: Oh please with how we've been training we'll bring these monsters to heel. Their size, their parlor tricks don't frighten me in the slightest and guess what? They don't frighten us either, especially not now. Familiarity and all that. We knew everything those idiots could do by now to shine a light on the Abyssal Order.
Desiree chose the direct trash talk route. Speaking arrogantly towards the opposing team succinctly. But she did have a point and it meshed with her teammates. Motivation to get back on the winning track, focus on teamwork with an individual target for added aggression, and extra arrogance made for a hell of a trinity.
Xander Croft: My only real worry heading into this match is because it’ll take place in Black Out. Minimal lights and all. People will have a harder time than usual seeing us beat the piss out of you three. But luckily they’ll be able to hear your screams of agony just fine.
Olympia Waybright: Do we have your attention now?
Then the Centre Of Attention eyeball appeared to end the promo.
