What lesson did you not learn?
Act 1: Victory
The scene opens on the beautiful city of Las Vegas. The heat had already moved through the city, even with a light breeze moving through the tall trees that lined the streets. The bright neon lights were now dulled against the bright late afternoon sun. The streets were filled with high traffic, as tourists made their way along the strip taking in everything around them. The flowers that lined the casino fronts mixed with the local buffets, and the gas that was being burned from the heavy traffic. The sound of the slot machines that stood outside some of the casinos echoed through the air, as the camera moved along the strip. The camera moves toward the long stretch of road that wound itself through the desert. We soon see a long stretch of road that leads into what appears to be an old ghost town that had been modernized. The windows had blinds on them, and power lines ran to each of them. The street soon revealed a massive home that loomed over the buildings and was the residence of the Goddess of Death, and Johnny’s best friend Ex. The camera moved to the pool that sat behind it, that shimmered in the sun overhead. We see Avery, and Sarah, sitting on lounge chairs, with Necra. The GGL tag team championships are draped over one of the empty lounges and shimmered in the light. Gracie, and JJ play with Aries and Aphroditie in the kiddie pool.
Necra: Congrats on the win ladies.
Avery: Thank you. It wasn’t an easy win.
Sarah: That’s for damn sure. They tried everything to put us down.
Necra: It didn’t work though, did it? I mean they had talent but you two wanted it more.
Avery: Damn right we did. We told them that we would beat them and we did. We’re going to hold onto the titles until we actually have a challenge.
Sarah: Yeah. But that’s the problem, there isn’t a decent team that could take us down.
Necra: You can’t let yourself get cocky. There will be a team that comes up and they will actually give you a run, but I think it’ll be a while before that happens.
Avery sighs, and nods as she takes a sip from the glass that sat beside her.
Avery: You’re right. We can’t get too comfortable.
Sarah: True. But who would be crazy to go up against us?
Avery’s phone goes off as she looks down at it, and she smirks.
Necra: What is it?
Avery: I have a match…
Sarah: Against who?
Avery: It’s one of the Schooner twins.
Necra shakes her head.
Necra: Which one?
Sarah: Does it matter? They lost…
Avery: It’s Chloe.
Sarah: Wasn’t she the one we pinned to keep our titles?
Avery: I don’t know… They’re identical.
Necra: She already said something… But then again that doesn’t surprise me.
Sarah: Me neither. She seems like the type that wants to be seen and heard.
Avery: They don't know what it means to be quiet do they?
Necra: No, they don’t.
Avery gets to her feet and looks toward the kiddie pool.
Avery: Can you keep an eye on them?
Sarah: Of course. They’re fine, and they’re being good.
Necra: Besides Aries and Aphrodite are having a blast with them being here.
Avery walks off heading back toward the main house. The servants bowed slightly as she passed by and then went back to what they were doing. She looks toward one of the long pathways that wound itself away from the house. She starts to walk along feeling peace and tranquility around her.
Avery: Chloe, I’m not sure where to start but I have to admit you and your sister did give us a run, but it wasn’t enough, and you think that you’re going to win this match against me? What lesson did you not learn the last time that we met in the middle of the ring? Do you want to continue the beating that we started or did you just enjoy it a little too much?
Avery laughs to herself as she continues along the path.
Avery: Let me put it in a way I think you’ll understand. No one cares about you, let alone like you. Did you hear that crowd when Sarah and I came out? They love us, because we are the salt of the earth like they are. You and your sister are posh little snobs that think just because you have money you’re better than everyone else. Well you’re not. You think you’re superior but once again, you’re not. I’m not just going to beat the hell out of you this time, no I’m making sure that you learn a lesson and don’t want to ever face off against me ever again.
She passes by a high rock face and looks up toward the top of it. She could have sworn that she had seen something but she shook it off and continued along.
Avery: I have earned every title that I have ever gotten, but you, you were given everything in life. I worked my way to the top and now look at where I am? I came back to AWS and managed to win the tag titles and defended against you and Claire, but this time you won’t have any one in your corner and I won’t either, but just know that I have someone always watching my back and you have no one besides that preppy sister of yours. This match won’t be any easier than the last one, and I promise you that you’re not going to be standing after this one. You’ll be on your back looking up at the lights wondering what happened. But I’ll tell you why… Because I won, and will keep winning until the day that I retire.
She soon reaches a grove of trees and is surprised with the sight. It was the desert and yet vegetation seemed to thrive. She stands at the end of the pathway and stares into it.
Avery: You still seem to think that I’m poor and that I don’t have any money, but I hate to tell you, I have a lot more than you think I do. But then again it’s all tied up in the ranch, and my family’s ranch in Ireland. But that’s all you seem to care about isn’t it? What other people think about you, what you can buy, the newest and brightest thing that you can flaunt, but like I said before no one cares about any of that. Just know that I will be ready for anything that you can throw at me. I’m not afraid of some blond haired bimbo that cares more about her looks than what really matters in life. The lesson isn’t going to be quick and easy, no it’s going to be one that you won’t soon forget. Your solo career is going to end the same night that it started, and I won’t regret it at all.
Avery turns and heads back toward the main house. She whistles a tune as she walks away, as the scene fades to black.
