Biography: Mason was a mean kid growing up. He had a gang of hoodlums with him, played physical sports, and was a prototypical jerk bully. The problem was he never had to face any REAL accountability for his actions. He was wily enough of a kid to maintain status in rugby and basketball and as for facing that “bigger bully” or plucky kid standing up to him and making him back down? It simply NEVER HAPPENED. He could’ve been a pro athlete if he had any interest in team play with a coach barking directions at him. And after realizing he could make money for it as a bouncer for a lively rock nightclub and a bodyguard for an Aussie metal group and soak in the lifestyle it was easy for him to use his strength and size as an advantage.
So how did he wind up in wrestling? He simply wanted to make his own money with his own body that didn’t involve protecting anyone. Ironically since his first roles in wrestling were as a bodyguard type and enforcer. But when he struck out on his own he did it BIG. Winning titles in short-order as a monster type of wrestler and building a strong independent niche for himself. No wonder EWE sought him out once he decided to set up roots in America.
Extra information that you want the commentators to mention?: Mason has dual citizenship in both the United States and in Australia. His last name is named after his mother. Who raised him after his father walked out and his stepfather passed away when he was twelve.
