AWS Announces Shift Toward Mainstream Wrestling Style
10/11/2024 09:25 PM - PRESS RELEASE
Asylum Wrestling Society Announces Shift Toward Mainstream Wrestling Style
October 11, 2024 - Las Vegas, NV – The Asylum Wrestling Society (AWS), long known for its extreme, hardcore wrestling style, is embarking on a new chapter. Founder and CEO Charlie Feigel has announced that AWS will be shifting toward a more mainstream, sports-entertainment-driven style of wrestling, signaling a strategic move to reach a broader audience.
For years, AWS has thrived on its unique, no-holds-barred approach, pushing the boundaries of wrestling with its hardcore matches and intense rivalries. However, this evolution marks a bold step forward for the promotion, with plans to incorporate more traditional, mainstream wrestling styles while retaining the excitement and unpredictability that have become synonymous with AWS.
In his official statement, Feigel shared his vision for the future of AWS:
"Asylum Wrestling Society has always been about innovation, pushing limits, and giving fans something they can’t find anywhere else. We’ve built our reputation on extreme, high-octane matches, but we recognize that the landscape of professional wrestling is changing. By embracing a more mainstream wrestling style, we will continue to honor the AWS legacy while expanding our reach and appeal to a wider audience of fans worldwide."
Feigel emphasized that this change is not a departure from what AWS has always stood for but an expansion. The company will still feature its trademark action-packed, high-energy atmosphere, but with a renewed focus on storytelling, athleticism, and showcasing its diverse roster of wrestlers in more accessible match formats.
Fans can expect exciting new rivalries, dramatic in-ring moments, and a mix of innovative match types that blend the intensity of hardcore wrestling with the technical prowess of mainstream professional wrestling.
The transition to this new direction will begin with upcoming events, including the highly anticipated AWS Wicked Games 2024 on November 3rd, where both hardcore and mainstream elements will be on display.
For more information, please visit the official AWS website or follow AWS on social media for the latest updates.

This renovation reflects the growing demand for AWS events and solidifies the arena's position as the ultimate destination for high-octane wrestling action in Las Vegas.
The Crow’s Nest Arena has long been a staple of the AWS community, renowned for its intimate, chaotic atmosphere and rabid fans.
