AWS LOCKDOWN #1: KING OF THE DEATHMATCH
AWS has built its name under the bright lights of major arenas. Monday Night Ward runs buildings like The Sphere and Allstate Arena, where the cameras are clean, the entrances are polished, and the world watches from comfortable seats.
Lockdown will not be that kind of show.
For the first time ever, AWS opens the doors to its new fight series: Lockdown, a traveling showcase built around deathmatch wrestling, shoot-fight rules, and the kind of violence too ugly for the main stage. The first stop is Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, Georgia, where 1,000 fans will sit inside the Ward itself while thousands more watch from the Lockdown Yard on the grounds.
At the center of it all is Malcolm Pritchard, the Patron of AWS Lockdown. Pritchard does not run AWS. He funds Lockdown. He buys access, secures venues, signs waivers, and pays the kind of money that makes athletic commissions look the other way. To him, deathmatch wrestling and shoot-fighting are not chaos. They are rare art forms, and Lockdown is his private collection shown to the public.
And for his first exhibit, Pritchard has commissioned a crown.
The Inaugural AWS King of the Deathmatch Tournament will be decided in one night. One man will have to survive three matches in a single evening to earn the right to be called King of the Deathmatch. The winner will not only leave Central State with the crown, but will also earn a shot at the Parential Advisory Championship at Lockdown #2.
The runner-up will not leave empty-handed. Whoever survives long enough to reach the finals, but falls short of the crown, will be awarded an opportunity to face the 5150 Champion at Lockdown #2 in a 5150 Rules Match.
One night. One ward. One crown. Three fights between one man and immortality.
AWS Lockdown does not promise safety. It does not promise fairness. It does not promise that every competitor who walks into Central State will leave the same way.
It only promises witnesses.
